International law firm and Official Partner to the British Handball Association, Pinsent Masons, wish to congratulate the 14 players selected this morning to represent the first ever GB Men’s Olympic Handball team. The team selection follows an intense month’s training programme in Serbia, in which the team also participated in Euro 2014 Qualification matches based in Italy.
The team, captained by Bob White shall compete in the Copper Box and Basketball Arena at the Olympic Park from 29 July – 12 August 2012. 23-year-old, Chris McDermott commented following the announcement: “For me this selection means the world. I joined the handball programme in 2006 and since then there have been so many ups and downs, but this makes all the nights sleeping on floors or couches so worthwhile!”
Pinsent Masons, Global Head of Sport, Trevor Watkins commented on the team selection: “We are proud to be Official Partner to the GB Men’s Olympic Handball team on their route to London 2012. The team has trained hard in the past month to bring together expertise and skills learnt from their club teams and I greatly look forward to seeing their hard work in action during the summer”.
